About Us

Builderz Ltd specialises in residential construction throughout Canterbury.

Simon will guide you through the design and planning process, then will be onsite project managing the job and swinging a hammer alongside his team to ensure your home is completed on schedule and to the highest quality.

You can bring in your own designer/architect/engineer or we can recommend professionals that we have worked with.

We have a great team of sub-contractors that covers most trades but we are also happy to work in with your chosen sub-contractors.

Our Team

We are a small team, with three qualified carpenters and three apprentices led by Simon, a Licensed Building Practitioner. Simon has been involved in the building industry for over 30 years both in New Zealand and overseas.

All our carpenters trained as apprentices under the ARA/ITAB scheme and were mentored by Simon so he could ensure the high level of workmanship he prides himself on was ingrained from the beginning.

Giving back – training future carpenters, guiding and mentoring them through their apprenticeship is an important part of what we do. We encourage and support our apprentices to participate in the NZ Certified Builders Apprentice Challenge and both times our apprentices entered they were awarded 2nd place in Canterbury – Tim in 2023 and Chris in 2018.

We are invested in looking after the planet and doing our bit to minimise our carbon footprint. When it comes to site waste we are focused on recycling what we can and minimising the amount of waste that goes into landfill.

Supporting Our Local Community And Staff

We sponsored the Cashmere Technical Football Club Academy Teams in 2023 as well as Gazza Motorsport.
